Target Information

CTNNBL1 is a component of the pre-mRNA-processing factor 19-cell division cycle 5-like (PRP19-CDC5L) protein complex, which activates pre-mRNA splicing and is integral to the spliceosome. It also acts as a nuclear localization sequence binding protein, interacts with activation-induced deaminase, and is important for antibody diversification. CTNNBL1 may be associated with obesity development. Alternative splicing produces multiple transcript variants, and a pseudogene is located on the X chromosome. Diseases associated with CTNNBL1 include Immunodeficiency 99 with Hypogammaglobulinemia and Autoimmune Cytopenias.
