Target Information
C/EBP delta (CEBPD) belongs to the CCAAT enhancer binding protein family, which includes transcription factors with a conserved basic-leucine zipper domain at the C-terminus for dimerization and DNA binding. Six members (CEBP alpha to CEBP zeta) have been identified.
CEBPD functions as a leucine zipper DNA-binding protein regulating gene expression in tissues such as liver, adipose, lung, and intestine. It acts as a transcriptional activator in immune and inflammatory responses and exhibits tumor suppressor-like properties.
