Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional round of desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
MMP13 (collagenase 3) is involved in the degradation of extracellular matrix proteins such as fibrillar collagen, fibronectin, tenascin-C, and aggrecan.
It cleaves triple-helical collagens (types I, II, III) with highest activity toward soluble type II collagen, and can degrade collagen types IV, XIV, and X.
MMP13 is essential for wound healing, tissue remodeling, cartilage degradation, bone development, and ossification.
Mutations in the MMP13 gene are associated with spondyloepimetaphyseal dysplasia Missouri type, metaphyseal anadysplasia 1, and metaphyseal dysplasia Sphar type.
