- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.

Ferritin Light Chain은 Ferritin 단백질의 light subunit을 암호화하는 유전자로, prokaryote 및 eukaryote에서 주요 철 저장 단백질입니다. Ferritin은 heavy 및 light chain으로 구성된 24개의 서브유닛으로 이루어지며, subunit 조성의 변화는 조직별 철 흡수 및 방출 속도에 영향을 줄 수 있습니다.
주요 기능은 철을 용해성이고 무독성 형태로 저장하는 것이며, 이 유전자의 결함은 여러 신경퇴행성 질환 및 hyperferritinemia-cataract syndrome과 관련이 있습니다. 또한 다수의 pseudogene을 가집니다.
