Target Information
IFN gamma (Interferon gamma, Type II interferon)은 대식세포 활성화 인자이자 면역 인터페론으로, 주로 T-림프구와 자연살해세포(NK cell)에 의해 항원, mitogen, Staphylococcus enterotoxin B, phytohemagglutinin 및 기타 사이토카인에 반응하여 생성됩니다.
이 단백질은 두 개의 146 아미노산 서브유닛으로 구성된 이합체이며, 약 45 kDa의 당단백질 형태로 존재합니다. SDS-PAGE 상에서는 25, 20, 15.5 kDa 밴드로 나타나며 이는 당화 정도의 차이에 따른 것입니다.
IFN gamma의 생물학적 활성은 종 특이적이며, 인간 IFN gamma는 마우스와 교차 반응하지 않습니다. 주요 기능은 다음과 같습니다:
- 항바이러스 활성
- 종양 세포 증식 억제
- MHC class I 및 II 유도
- 대식세포 활성화
- B 세포의 면역글로불린 분비 촉진
또한 IFN gamma는 사이토카인 조절에 관여하며, 다른 사이토카인과 상승 작용을 합니다. IFN gamma는 수용체 I 및 II에 결합하여 JAK-STAT 경로를 활성화합니다.
IFN gamma는 IFN alpha 또는 IFN beta와 상동성이 없으며, 인간과 마우스 IFN gamma 간에는 약 40%의 서열 상동성을 가집니다.
IL2, FGF basic, EGF에 의해 발현이 증가하고, 비타민 D3 또는 DMN에 의해 감소합니다. IFN gamma 유전자 변이는 재생불량성 빈혈과 관련이 있습니다.
