Target Information

IFN gamma (Interferon gamma, Type II interferon)는 주로 T-림프구와 자연살해세포(NK cell)에 의해 생성되는 면역 인터페론으로, 항원, mitogen, Staphylococcus enterotoxin B, phytohemagglutinin 및 기타 cytokine에 반응하여 분비됩니다.

IFN gamma는 두 개의 146 아미노산 서브유닛으로 구성된 이합체(dimeric) 단백질이며, 약 45 kDa의 당단백질 형태로 존재합니다. SDS-PAGE 상에서는 25, 20 및 15.5 kDa 밴드로 나타나며, 이는 당화(glycosylation) 차이에 따른 것입니다. 생물학적 활성은 종 특이적이며, 인간 IFN gamma는 마우스와 교차 반응하지 않습니다.

• 항바이러스 및 종양 증식 억제 활성
• MHC class I 및 II 유도
• 대식세포 활성화
• B 세포의 면역글로불린 분비 촉진

IFN gamma는 JAK-STAT 경로를 통해 활성화되며, IL2, FGF basic, EGF에 의해 상향 조절되고, 비타민 D3 및 DMN에 의해 하향 조절됩니다. IFN gamma 유전자 변이는 재생불량성 빈혈(aplastic anemia)과 관련이 있습니다.
