This antibody detects endogenous levels of MCM2 only when phosphorylated at Ser41.
Target Information
MCM2 (Mini chromosome maintenance protein 2) is involved in regulating DNA replication. Also known as CDCL1, mitotin, and BM28, MCM2 is a nuclear protein crucial for cell cycle progression, particularly during the onset of DNA replication and cell division. It is similar to early S-phase proteins and has been mapped to chromosome 3q21. CDCL1 has been identified as a candidate oncogene potentially affected by chromosomal breaks in acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
