Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human Uteroglobin. Anti-Human Uteroglobin-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human Uteroglobin by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human Uteroglobin (500-P330) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 2000–4000 pg/mL of Recombinant Human Uteroglobin.

Western Blot:
To detect Human Uteroglobin by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. When used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human Uteroglobin is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

Uteroglobin, a member of the Secretoglobin superfamily also known as Clara cell phospholipid-binding protein, is a multifunctional protein with anti-inflammatory and anti-tumorigenic effects. It binds small hydrophobic molecules such as phospholipids and prostaglandins. This small, non-glycosylated protein is highly expressed in pre-implantation embryos and secreted by non-ciliated Clara cells in pulmonary airways and other epithelia. Secretoglobin family members are small, secretory homo- or heterodimers with high structural conservation. Uteroglobin is involved in inhibition of cell migration, invasion, platelet aggregation, and T cell differentiation.
