Amino Acid Sequence of Recombinant Protein:

Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human Uteroglobin. Anti-Human Uteroglobin-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human Uteroglobin matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human Uteroglobin by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well), use 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody. When used with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human Uteroglobin (500-P330BT) as detection antibody, it allows detection of 2000–4000 pg/mL of Recombinant Human Uteroglobin.

Western Blot:
To detect Human Uteroglobin by Western Blot, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. With compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

Uteroglobin, a member of the Secretoglobin superfamily (also known as Clara cell phospholipid-binding protein), is a multifunctional protein with anti-inflammatory and anti-tumorigenic properties. It binds small hydrophobic molecules such as phospholipids and prostaglandins.
This small, non-glycosylated protein is highly expressed in pre-implantation embryos and secreted by non-ciliated Clara cells in pulmonary airways and other epithelia.
Secretoglobin family members are small, secretory homo- or heterodimers showing structural conservation. Uteroglobin is implicated in the inhibition of cell migration, invasion, platelet aggregation, and T cell differentiation.
