Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, approximately 25% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Neuropilin-1 is observed.
- Less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human, mouse, and rat Neuropilin-2.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody (LAL method).
Target Information
Neuropilin 1 is a 923-amino-acid membrane-bound coreceptor belonging to the neuropilin family.
It contains two CUB domains, two F5/8 type C domains, and a MAM domain.
Neuropilin 1 forms heterodimers with Neuropilin 2 (NRP2) and binds to plexin (PLXNB1) to form semaphorin receptors.
Mainly expressed in the nervous system, it plays roles in:
- Cardiovascular system development
- Angiogenesis
- Axon guidance
- Neuronal circuit formation
- Cell survival and migration
- Organogenesis outside the nervous system
It functions as a receptor for semaphorins and VEGF, regulating VEGF-induced angiogenesis.
Neuropilin 1 may be associated with aggressive prostate and breast cancer progression.
