Product Specific Information
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
After antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
A suggested positive control is tonsil tissue.
Target Information
PAX5 is a member of the paired box (PAX) family of transcription factors. These proteins are key regulators in early development, and altered expression can contribute to neoplastic transformation.
PAX5 acts as a B-cell lineage-specific activator protein (BSAP), expressed at early but not late stages of B-cell differentiation.
It is also expressed in developing CNS and testis, suggesting roles in neural development and spermatogenesis.
Mutations in PAX5 can result in leukemia, including acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
