RAB30 (Ras-related protein Rab-30)는 세포 내 막 수송의 핵심 조절자인 소형 GTPase Rab을 암호화합니다. Rab 단백질은 수송 소포의 형성부터 막 융합까지의 과정을 조절하며, GDP 결합 비활성형과 GTP 결합 활성형 사이를 순환합니다. 활성형 Rab은 소포 형성, 이동, 결합 및 융합에 직접 관여하는 다양한 하위 인자를 모집합니다. RAB30은 Golgi apparatus의 구조적 완전성을 유지하는 데 필요하며, 세포질 스캐폴딩 단백질과의 상호작용을 매개할 가능성이 있습니다.
