ACINUS (apoptotic chromatin condensation inducer in the nucleus)는 염색질 응축을 유도하는 단백질입니다. Caspase-3 및 미확인 프로테아제에 의해 절단되어 활성 펩타이드 p17을 생성하며, 이 펩타이드는 핵에서 염색질 응축을 유도합니다. ACINUS는 세포 내에서 아폽토시스 관련 염색질 응축을 유도하며, 인간과 생쥐에서 세 가지 스플라이스 변형체가 확인되었습니다.
