Product Specific Information

• Description: Monoclonal rat IgG2a kappa is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
• Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
• Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes and normal human peripheral blood cells. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.
• Fluorochrome Information: Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 563 (BUV563) emits at 564 nm and is designed for cytometers with a 355 nm UV laser. Ensure instrument compatibility.
• Buffer Recommendation: When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (Super Bright, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant Ultra Violet™), use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.
• Light Sensitivity: Protect from light to prevent photo-induced oxidation.
• Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal brightness loss.

Target Information

Rat IgG2a is an immunoglobulin subclass produced by the rat immune system, known for complement activation and antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC). It has a molecular weight of approximately 160 kDa, composed of two heavy and two light chains. Commonly used as a control antibody in flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry.
