Target Information
PDK1 (3-phosphoinositide dependent kinase-1) is a serine/threonine protein kinase localized to the plasma membrane. It plays a vital role in insulin-induced glycogen synthesis, PKC activation, and activation of the AGC subfamily of protein kinases. PDK1 is important in cellular responses to hypoxia, promoting cell proliferation and protecting cells from apoptosis under hypoxia and oxidative stress.
