Product Specific Information
- MM600D targets IL-6 in ELISA and WB applications, showing reactivity with mouse samples.
- Immunogen: recombinant mouse IL-6.

- Has been paired as coating antibody in sandwich ELISA with detection antibody MM600CB (biotinylated clone 20F3).
- Typical dilutions: 1 µg/mL (coating), 0.125–0.25 µg/mL (detection).
- Used with recombinant mouse IL6 protein (SMIL6) in ELISA applications.
- Produced by injecting Rat IgG-secreting hybridoma cells into mice; antibody purified from ascites.

Target Information
IL-6 encodes a cytokine involved in inflammation and B cell maturation. It acts as an endogenous pyrogen, inducing fever in autoimmune or infectious conditions. IL-6 is mainly expressed at inflammation sites, secreted into serum, and activates transcriptional inflammatory responses via the IL-6 receptor alpha.
Elevated IL-6 levels are linked to inflammation-associated diseases such as diabetes mellitus, systemic juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, Kaposi sarcoma, and rheumatoid arthritis. Increased IL-6 expression has also been observed in viral infections, including COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2).
