Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human GRO-alpha/MGSA (CXCL1). Anti-Human GRO-alpha/MGSA (CXCL1)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human GRO-alpha/MGSA by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required.
This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human GRO-alpha/MGSA (500-P92) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human GRO-alpha/MGSA.

Western Blot:
To detect Human GRO-alpha/MGSA by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL.
When used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human GRO-alpha/MGSA is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

CXCL1, CXCL2, and CXCL3—also known respectively as GRO alpha, GRO beta (MIP-2 alpha), and GRO gamma (MIP-2 beta)—are members of the CXC subfamily of chemokines.
Mature CXCL1/2/3 proteins bind with high affinity to the IL-8 receptor type B and are potent neutrophil attractants and activators.
In vitro, the processed forms GRO-alpha(4-73), GRO-alpha(5-73), and GRO-alpha(6-73) show approximately 30-fold higher chemotactic activity.
