Background
The rodlike tail sequence of MYH15 is highly repetitive, showing cycles of a 28-residue repeat pattern composed of four heptapeptides characteristic of alpha-helical coiled coils.
Function: Muscle contraction.
Similarity: Contains one IQ domain and one myosin head-like domain.
Subcellular location: Thick filaments of the myofibrils.
Subunit: Muscle myosin is a hexameric protein consisting of two heavy chain subunits (MHC), two alkali light chain subunits (MLC), and two regulatory light chain subunits (MLC-2).
