Store vial at −20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at −20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

This affinity-purified antibody is directed against mouse ASAP1 protein. Reactivity occurs against both the phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated forms of the protein at residue Y782.
A BLAST analysis suggests cross-reactivity with ASAP1 proteins from human, chicken, bovine, dog, rat, and chimpanzee based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Reactivity against homologues from other sources is not known.

Target Information

ASAP1 (Development and differentiation enhancing factor 1) is a protein containing two ANK repeats, an Arf-GAP domain, a PH domain, and a SH3 domain.
It is a homodimer that interacts with SRC and CRK and is stimulated by phosphatidylinositol 4,5-biphosphate (PIP2).
ASAP1 functions as a phosphatidylinositol 4,5-biphosphate-dependent GTPase-activating protein for ARF1 and ARF5, with lesser activity toward ARF6.
It may coordinate membrane trafficking with cell growth or actin cytoskeleton remodeling and is involved in fibroblast differentiation and other cell types.
ASAP1 is widely expressed and acts as a proto-oncogene implicated in invasive breast cancer and other malignant tumors such as uveal melanomas.
