For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD43 (leukosialin, sialophorin) is a transmembrane mucin-like protein with high negative charge, expressed on the surface of most hematopoietic cells.
It contributes to a repulsive barrier that interferes with cellular adhesion but can also promote leukocyte aggregation.
Through interaction with actin-binding proteins ezrin and moesin, CD43 regulates T-cell morphology and cell-cell interactions during lymphocyte traffic.
CD43 signaling enhances LFA-1 adhesiveness while counteracting induction via other receptors.
Expression of CD43 can induce tumor suppressor p53, but in the absence of p53 and ARF, it may promote tumor proliferation.
Diseases associated with CD43 dysfunction include Wiscott-Aldrich Syndrome and Adenoid Basal Cell Carcinoma.
