Target Information
FGF-5 plays an important role in the regulation of cell proliferation and differentiation.
It is required for normal regulation of the hair growth cycle and functions as an inhibitor of hair elongation by promoting progression from the anagen (growth phase) to catagen (apoptosis-induced regression phase) of the hair follicle.
