1 µg/mL of MA5-27720 was sufficient for detection of Copper-transporting ATPase1 in 20 µg of rat brain lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
Detects approximately 180 kDa in rat brain membrane preparations.
This antibody was formerly sold as clone S60-4.
Target Information
ATP7A (Copper-transporting ATPase 1) is a transmembrane copper-translocating P-type ATPase essential for systemic copper absorption in the gut and reabsorption in the kidney.
It is expressed in many tumor types and its increased expression confers resistance to cisplatin and carboplatin.
Mutations in ATP7A cause Menkes disease, which is fatal in early childhood.
