Target Information

POU5F1 (Oct-4)는 초기 발생 단계에서 최초로 보고된 모계 발현 옥타머 결합 전사인자로, 배아 발달에서 중요한 역할을 합니다. 이 단백질은 줄기세포 생성 및 세포 대체 치료 연구에 유용하며, Sox2, Klf4, Lin28, c-Myc 등과 함께 발현될 경우 유도만능줄기세포(iPS cell)를 생성할 수 있습니다. 최근 연구에서는 바이러스 도입 없이도 POU5F1, Sox2, Klf4, c-Myc 발현 플라스미드를 이용해 iPS 세포를 생성할 수 있음이 확인되었습니다. 이는 재생의학에서의 안전성 향상에 기여합니다.
