Target Information

POU5F1 (Oct-4)는 초기 발생 단계에서 처음으로 기술된 옥타머 결합 전사인자로, 배아 발달과 줄기세포 형성에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 이 단백질은 Sox2, Klf4, Lin28 및 c-Myc과 함께 발현될 때 유도만능줄기세포(iPS cell) 생성에 사용될 수 있습니다. 최근 연구에서는 바이러스 도입 없이 플라스미드 발현을 통해 iPS 세포를 생성할 수 있음이 입증되어 재생의학 적용 시 안전성 우려를 줄일 수 있습니다.
