For maximum recovery, spin prior to use. Use material directly from original packaging until exhausted for 5 µg, 10 µg, and 20 µg sizes. For larger sizes, aliquots may be prepared to reduce freeze/thaw cycles; aliquots below 20 µL are not recommended. Never store kinase diluted. Properly stored at -80°C, product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of purchase.

Target Information
TAOK1 is a serine/threonine-protein kinase involved in regulation of the p38-containing stress-responsive MAP kinase pathway and extracellular signal-regulated protein kinase (ERK) kinases (MEKs). Activation and binding to MEK3 implicate TAOK1 in p38 pathway regulation. Also known as MARKK, TAOK1 regulates mitotic progression, chromosome congression, and checkpoint-induced anaphase delay. It participates in p38/MAPK14 stress-activated MAPK cascade, DNA damage response, and cytoskeleton stability regulation. TAOK1 phosphorylates MAP2K3, MAP2K6, and MARK2, acting as an activator of the p38/MAPK cascade. It mediates G-protein coupled receptor signaling to p38/MAPK14 and contributes to G2/M transition DNA damage checkpoint activation. Additionally, TAOK1 functions as a regulator of cytoskeleton stability and apoptosis.
