Target Information
Thyroid hormone receptors (TR)는 ligand-dependent intracellular protein으로, 호르몬 활성화 후 hormone response element에 결합하여 특정 유전자의 전사를 자극함.
Thyroid hormone은 TR과의 상호작용을 통해 성장호르몬, malic enzyme, 간 단백질 등 다양한 조직에서 대사, 성장, 발달 관련 유전자 발현을 조절함.
TR은 두 가지 주요 형태(TR alpha, TR beta)가 있으며, 각각 두 isoform(TR alpha-1, TR alpha-2 / TR beta-1, TR beta-2)을 가짐.
TR alpha-1과 TR alpha-2는 아미노산 370까지 동일하며 이후 서열이 달라짐. TR alpha-2는 T3 결합 불가하며 기능적 TR의 강한 음성 조절자로 작용함.
Thyroid hormone receptor beta-1의 대응 유전자는 NR1A2임.
