Reconstitute with 0.5 mL PBS containing 0.1% BSA. For long-term storage, the addition of 0.09% sodium azide is recommended.
Prior to reconstitution, store at 4°C. After reconstitution, store undiluted at -20°C, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles.

Rabbit anti-human Interleukin-19 antibody recognizes human IL-19 (interleukin-19), a 153 amino acid secreted helical cytokine belonging to the IL-10 family of regulatory cytokines.
IL-19 is preferentially expressed in monocytes, also present in B cells, and up-regulated in monocytes stimulated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) or granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF).

Target Information

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine belonging to the IL10 cytokine subfamily, preferentially expressed in monocytes.
It binds the IL20 receptor complex and activates STAT3.
In mouse, a similar cytokine up-regulates IL6 and TNF-alpha expression and induces apoptosis, suggesting a role in inflammatory responses.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been described.
