Product Specific Information
- Heat-mediated antigen retrieval using a sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0) is recommended for staining paraffin sections.

- Rabbit anti-Human TRPA1 antibody detects Transient Receptor Potential A1 (TRPA1), an excitatory cation channel highly expressed in nociceptive neurons and involved in inflammatory pain.
Target Information
TRPA1 is a TRP-related channel responsive to cold temperatures and pungent compounds, playing roles in nociceptor and hair cell transduction. It is associated with transformation in lung epithelia and primarily distributed in sensory neurons. Blocking TRPA1 may be a therapeutic strategy for cold hyperalgesia due to inflammation and nerve damage. TRPA1 protein is also expressed outside the CNS and dysregulated during oncogenic transformation. Structurally, TRPA1 relates to ankyrin and transmembrane proteins, potentially involved in signal transduction and growth control.
