This CD25-4E3 monoclonal antibody reacts to human CD25, also known as the low-affinity interleukin (IL)-2 receptor alpha.
CD25 is expressed on activated T cells (including a subset of regulatory T cells), B cells, and macrophages.
This receptor subunit associates with CD122 (IL-2 receptor beta chain) and CD132 (common gamma chain) to form the high-affinity IL-2 receptor.
IL-2 receptor signaling is linked to lymphocyte proliferation and survival.
CD25 serves as a marker for Hodgkin’s disease and is associated with autoimmune diseases such as Type I diabetes.

This monoclonal antibody is cross-reactive to rhesus monkey.

Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal peripheral blood cells.
Recommended usage: 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (100 µL final volume).
Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test (empirically determined).

CD25 (IL2RA) is a cytokine receptor involved in T and B lymphocyte proliferation.
The IL2 receptor complex (IL2RA, IL2RB, IL2RG) forms a high-affinity receptor for IL2.
Homodimeric IL2RA results in low-affinity binding, IL2RB in medium-affinity.
IL2 expression in mature thymocytes is monoallelic, enabling precise gene regulation.
IL2 is produced mainly by mature T cells and functions as a growth and differentiation factor, regulating cell death and immune responses.
Mutations in IL2RA are associated with interleukin 2 receptor alpha deficiency.
