Product Specific Information

The RA3-6B2 monoclonal antibody reacts with exon A-restricted isoform of mouse CD45, a 220 kDa surface molecule. CD45R/B220 epitope is mainly expressed by B cell lineage from early Pro-B to mature B cells. Some activated T cells, lymphokine activated killer cells (LAK), NK cell progenitors, and T cells of the lpr/lpr mutant mouse also express this antigen.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes at ≤0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimize antibody titration for best results.

Alexa Fluor® 700 emits at 723 nm and is excited with the red laser (633 nm). Recommended optical setup: 685 LP mirror and 710/20 filter.

Target Information

CD45R (PTPRC) belongs to the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family, regulating cell growth, differentiation, and signaling. CD45 is expressed in hematopoietic cells and is essential for T- and B-cell receptor signaling. CD45 glycoprotein influences lymphocyte development and antigen signaling via Src-family kinases. Isoforms arise from alternative splicing and vary by cell type and physiological state. CD45 also modulates integrin-mediated signal transduction and apoptosis pathways.
Diseases associated with CD45 dysfunction include Severe Combined Immunodeficiency and Hepatitis C.
