This antibody detects endogenous protein at molecular weights of approximately 59 and 70 kDa.
Purity is greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
CDC25A is a member of the CDC25 family of phosphatases, which includes CDC25A, CDC25B, and CDC25C. These phosphatases function at different phases of the cell cycle.
CDC25A is essential for progression through the G1 and S phases and activates cyclin-dependent kinase CDC2 by removing two phosphate groups.
In response to DNA damage, CDC25A is specifically degraded to prevent abnormal cells from dividing.
CDC25A is considered an oncogene, although its precise role in oncogenesis remains under investigation.
