Product Specific Information

These polyclonal antibodies are developed in rabbits by immunizing with specific proteins or peptides. The antibodies are affinity-purified from sera and tested for functionality in relevant research applications.
This product is intended for Research Use Only and is non-hazardous and non-infectious in nature.
Predicted to react with Monkey.

Target Information

GPR56 is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor family containing seven transmembrane domains and a mucin-like domain in the N-terminal region. It plays a role in brain cortical patterning and binds transglutaminase 2 in the extracellular space. Expression is downregulated in melanoma cell lines, and overexpression can suppress tumor growth and metastasis. Mutations in this gene are associated with bilateral frontoparietal polymicrogyria. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
