Target Information
Corticotropin-Releasing Factor Receptor 1 (CRFR1/CRHR1) is a receptor involved in mediating stress response and anxiety-related behaviors. Mutations in CRHR1 can influence anxiety and may be associated with Cushing disease. Multiple isoforms are produced via alternative splicing.
CRFR1 expression has been reported in the pituitary, adrenal gland, brain, colon, ovary, placenta, testis, white blood cells, and skin. ESTs have been isolated from human brain, eye, colon, and embryo libraries.
