For maximum recovery, please spin prior to use. Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 µg, 10 µg, and 20 µg sizes of kinase are not recommended as materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted.
For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots (aliquots below 20 µL are not recommended).
Please never store a kinase diluted.

Target Information

PDGFRA (platelet-derived growth factor receptor alpha) is a cell surface receptor tyrosine kinase that binds members of the platelet-derived growth factor family. These growth factors act as mitogens for cells of mesenchymal origin. The specific growth factor bound to a receptor monomer determines whether the functional receptor forms as a homodimer or heterodimer (composed of both alpha and beta polypeptides).
Studies in knockout mice, where homozygosity is lethal, indicate that the alpha form of the PDGF receptor is essential for kidney development, as heterozygous mice exhibit defective kidney phenotypes.
