Target Information
TIM3 (Hepatitis A virus cellular receptor 2, HAVCR2, T-cell immunoglobulin, mucin-domain containing-3)는 281 아미노산 길이의 Type-1 Th1 특이 세포 표면 당단백질로, CD4+Th1 및 CD8+Tc1 세포에 발현됨.
IgV-like domain, mucin-like domain 및 Tyrosine phosphorylation motif를 포함하며, 대식세포 활성화 및 자가면역 질환 유도에 관여함.
TIM3는 Th1 매개 면역반응을 억제하고 면역관용 형성을 촉진하며, 실험적 자가면역뇌척수염(EAE)과 같은 Th1 의존성 자가면역 질환의 병리적 중대성과 관련 있음.
