For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.
Mouse anti-Bovine CD26 antibody, clone CC69 recognizes bovine Dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (CD26), also known as WC10, Adenosine deaminase complexing protein, or Activation molecule 3 (Lee et al., 2001).

Target Information

CD26 (dipeptidyl peptidase IV, DPP IV, adenosine deaminase binding protein) is a homodimeric atypical serine protease belonging to the prolyl oligopeptidase family.
It is expressed on lymphocytes and upregulated during T-cell activation. CD26 is also found on activated B cells, natural killer cells, and epithelial cells.

Functions and characteristics:

• Involved in T-cell activation and cell adhesion with extracellular matrix proteins such as fibronectin and collagen
• Plays roles in HIV infection
• Identical to adenosine deaminase complexing protein-2 and T-cell activation antigen CD26
• Acts as a serine exopeptidase that cleaves X-proline dipeptides from the N-terminus of polypeptides

Alterations in CD26 peptidase activity are associated with malignant transformation, with enzymatic activity increasing with tumor grade and severity.
Changes in CD26 density have been reported in circulating monocytes and CD4+ T cells during rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus.
