Product Specific Information

This eyedio monoclonal antibody reacts with human indoleamine-2,3-dioxygenase (IDO, INDO, IDO1), an intracellular enzyme that catalyzes the degradation of tryptophan to kynurenines. IDO is expressed in various tissues and cell types, including macrophages and dendritic cells, and can be induced by IFN-γ or other inflammatory stimuli.

Applications Reported: Intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated using the Intracellular Fixation & Permeabilization Buffer Set (Product # 88-8824-00) according to BestProtocols®: Protocol A.
Use at 5 µL (0.06 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

eFluor™ 660 replaces Alexa Fluor™ 647, emits at 659 nm, and is excited by the red laser (633 nm).

Target Information

IDO1 is a heme-containing enzyme that catalyzes oxidative cleavage of the indole ring in molecules such as tryptophan, serotonin, and melatonin, producing biologically active kynurenines. It is widely expressed in human tissues, macrophages, and dendritic cells. IFN-induced IDO1 expression mediates antimicrobial and immunoregulatory effects, influencing infection, pregnancy, autoimmunity, and tumor immunity.
