Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody PD7/26 recognizes CD45RB, an isoform of the Leukocyte Common Antigen (LCA, CD45). CD45RB is a protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor expressed on most hematopoietic cells and absent on non-hematopoietic cells. Expression is more restricted than CD45 and found on T-cell subsets, B cells, NK cells, and myeloid cells. Regulatory T cells (Tregs) express low levels of CD45RB, correlating with increased migration to infection sites. High CD45RB expression induces IL-2 and IFN-γ production instead of IL-4 in vitro.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometry, Western blotting, immunohistochemistry on FFPE tissue, and immunocytochemistry.
Applications Tested: Tested by IHC on FFPE tissue using IHC Antigen Retrieval Solution - Low pH (Product # 00-4955-58).

Target Information

CD45RB is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase (CD45 glycoprotein). CD45 plays a key role in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, regulating Src-family kinases, promoting cell survival via integrin-mediated pathways, and participating in DNA fragmentation during apoptosis.
CD45 isoforms differ in extracellular domains but share identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains. Expression varies by cell type and physiological state. CD45RB is expressed in microglia and inflammatory cells and is essential for immunoreceptor signaling and cell survival modulation. CD45 is expressed on all human hematopoietic cells except mature red blood cells.
