For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Beta-catenin is an adherens junction (AJ) protein involved in cell-cell adhesion and signaling. It interacts with E-cadherin and alpha-catenin to anchor the E-cadherin complex to the actin cytoskeleton. Beta-catenin also associates with signaling pathways including tyrosine kinases, phosphatases, and Wnt/Wingless, influencing morphogenesis and cell proliferation.
It is expressed in various hair follicle cells and has been implicated in several cancers such as pilomatrixoma, medulloblastoma, colorectal, ovarian, and other solid tumors. In the nucleus, beta-catenin co-activates Lef/Tcf transcription factors to promote genes like cyclin D and c-myc, driving cell proliferation and tumorigenesis.
