Reconstitution: Briefly centrifuge vial before opening. Reconstitute lyophilized recombinant human IL-3 in sterile distilled water to 0.1–1.0 mg/mL. Divide into aliquots and store at ≤ -20°C. Further dilution should be done in medium or buffer containing carrier protein (e.g., PBS with 0.1% BSA).
Storage: Lyophilized recombinant human IL-3 should be stored at 2–8°C, preferably desiccated. Store reconstituted protein at ≤ -20°C (avoid frost-free freezer). Minimize freeze-thaw cycles.

Target Information

Interleukin 3 (IL-3), also known as Mast Cell Growth Factor (MCGF), Multi-Colony Stimulating Factor (multi-CSF), or Eosinophil-CSF (E-CSF), is produced by activated T cells, mast cells, and eosinophils.
IL-3 is a hematopoietic growth factor that stimulates colony formation of erythroid, megakaryocyte, neutrophil, eosinophil, basophil, mast cell, and monocytic lineages. Its functions are often enhanced by co-stimulation with other cytokines.
Human and mouse IL-3 share only 29% amino acid sequence identity, and IL-3 bioactivity is species-specific—human IL-3 does not act on mouse cells.
IL-3 supports proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis of hematopoietic cells, and may have neurotrophic activity linked to neurological disorders.
