Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, approximately 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant human FGF-BP is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.
Target Information
FGFBP1 encodes a secreted fibroblast growth factor carrier protein. The encoded protein plays a critical role in cell proliferation, differentiation, and migration by binding to fibroblast growth factors and enhancing their biological effects on target cells. It may also function as an angiogenic switch molecule in tumor growth, with expression linked to several cancers including pancreatic and colorectal adenocarcinoma. A pseudogene is located on the short arm of chromosome 4.
