This SK11 monoclonal antibody reacts with human and non-human primate CD62L (also known as L-selectin and LECAM).
CD62L is expressed on neutrophils, monocytes, and subsets of T, B, and NK cells, as well as endothelial cells.
It binds glycosylated, fucosylated, and sulfated sialylated glycoproteins such as CD34, glycam-1, and MadCAM-1, mediating lymphocyte rolling and homing to high endothelial venules (HEV) of peripheral lymphoid tissues.

The SK11 antibody recognizes chimpanzee, rhesus, cynomolgus monkey, olive baboon, and pigtailed macaque as well as pig.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells.
Use at 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Target Information

Human CD62L is a 74–95 kDa glycoprotein of the selectin family of adhesion receptors.
It includes:

• Aminoterminal C-type lectin binding domain
• EGF-like domain
• Two SCR sequences homologous to complement binding proteins
• Short spacer, transmembrane, and cytoplasmic regions

CD62L is constitutively expressed on leukocytes including lymphocytes (except memory T cells), monocytes, and polymorphonuclear cells.
