This antibody detects endogenous levels of PDGF Receptor beta only when phosphorylated at Tyrosine 1021.
Target Information
PDGFRB is a receptor tyrosine kinase implicated in atherogenesis and cell transformation by the SIS oncogene. These growth factors act as mitogens for cells of mesenchymal origin. The receptor may form homodimers or heterodimers with PDGF receptor alpha, depending on the bound ligand. The PDGFRB gene, located on chromosome 5, is adjacent to genes for GM-CSF and M-CSF receptor, which may be involved in the 5-q syndrome. A translocation between chromosomes 5 and 12 that fuses PDGFRB (CD140b) with ETV6 can lead to chronic myeloproliferative disorder with eosinophilia.
