Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of Phospholamban only when phosphorylated at Ser714.
Target Information
Phospholamban (PLB) is a 52 amino acid phosphoprotein regulating the calcium pump of cardiac sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR). PLB forms an oligomer of five identical subunits, each with cytoplasmic and transmembrane domains.
The cytoplasmic domain (residues 1–25) contains phosphorylation sites, is highly basic, and easily cleaved by proteases.
The transmembrane domain (residues 25–52) is hydrophobic, protease-resistant, and stabilizes the pentamer structure.
