Target Information
Elongin BC and Polycomb repressive complex 2-associated protein (EPOP), also known as C17ORF96, is a scaffold protein that bridges the PRC2/EED-EZH2 complex and the elongin BC complex. It regulates transcriptional activity of polycomb group (PcG) target genes in embryonic stem cells and maintains low-level expression of these genes in pluripotent stem cells. C17ORF96 interacts with USP7 and promotes deubiquitination of H2B at promoter sites.
