Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
CD13 (ANPEP) is a 150–170 kDa type II transmembrane zinc-binding ectopeptidase expressed on various cell types. It functions as a metalloprotease that removes neutral amino acids from small peptides, thereby activating or inactivating bioactive peptides.
CD13 plays roles in:
- Extracellular matrix degradation
- Antigen processing and signal transduction
- Inflammatory response regulation
- Intercellular contact, cell motility, and vascularization
It is expressed by granulocytes, monocytes, and myeloid leukemia cells, and is associated with protection of leukemic cells against apoptosis and poor prognosis in carcinomas. CD13 also serves as an alpha receptor for coronavirus.
