Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.
Advantages:
- Superior specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulation
- Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire
Target Information
DKK-1 is a member of the DKK protein family (DKK-1, DKK-2, DKK-3, DKK-4). Initially identified as a Xenopus head-forming molecule, DKK-1 acts as an antagonist for Wnt signaling. It regulates the Wnt/β-catenin pathway by forming inhibitory complexes with LRP5 and LRP6, essential co-receptors for Wnt ligands.
By inhibiting Wnt/β-catenin signaling, DKK-1 supports anterior development. Mice deficient in DKK-1 lack head formation and die during embryogenesis.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures or resale without authorization.
