Product Specific Information

Description:
Monoclonal antibody IgE21 recognizes the immunoglobulin E (IgE) class of antibodies. IgE is present at low levels in serum and is involved in allergic responses by binding to mast cells and basophils via Fc epsilon receptor I, leading to histamine release. IgE21 recognizes both soluble and membrane-bound forms of IgE.

Each product includes one vial of NovaFluor conjugate and one vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer.

Applications Reported:
Validated for flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometry using normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.2 µg) per test (100 µL total volume). Cell count range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Compatibility Note:
NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI). Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains instead.

CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer:
Updated formulation (Cat. No. C001T06F01) improves staining performance. Add 5 µL per sample before combining with cells. For single-color controls, use 5 µL per 100 µL cell sample.

Target Information

IgE is one of five mammalian immunoglobulin classes, composed of two epsilon heavy chains and two light chains. It mediates type I hypersensitivity reactions (e.g., hay fever, asthma, hives, anaphylactic shock) via Fc receptor binding on mast cells and basophils, leading to degranulation and allergic responses. IgE also contributes to defense against parasitic infections.
