Target Information
This intronless gene belongs to the frizzled gene family, encoding seven-transmembrane domain proteins that serve as receptors for the wingless-type MMTV integration site family of signaling proteins. The encoded protein is coupled to the beta-catenin canonical signaling pathway. Competition between WNT3A and WNT5A gene products for binding of this protein is thought to regulate beta-catenin-dependent and -independent pathways.
