Product Specific Information

Reconstitution: Add 50 µL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

TRPV4 (Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily V Member 4) is a cation-selective channel activated by systemic osmotic pressure. It is involved in osmotic and mechanical sensitivity.
TRPV4 belongs to the OSM9-like transient receptor potential channel (OTRPC) subfamily in the TRP superfamily.
The protein is Ca²⁺-permeable and nonselective, regulating systemic osmotic pressure.
Mutations in TRPV4 are associated with spondylometaphyseal and metatropic dysplasia, as well as hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy type IIC.
Diseases linked to TRPV4 include Metatropic Dysplasia and Spondylometaphyseal Dysplasia (Kozlowski Type).
Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
